Longing for some of the products he loved and appreciated he decided to shares his South African heritage with Sweden and Europe by making these exclusive products available to anyone in Sweden who appreciates a good wine. We do not only import and sell South African wine we represent a unique relationship with brands such as Lourensford Wine Estate and African Premium Brands. This business was born when two friends, Junior Burger CEO and owner of Lourensford wines and Charl Rudman founder of Zar Merchants Sweden , got together and decided that they need to share their amazing wine experience with Sweden and other European countries.

LOURENSFORD HISTORY
Lourensford Wine estate is situated not far from Cape Town in a town called Somerset West in South Africa and is part of the Stellenbosch wine region. Lourensford Estate was once part of the neighbouring Vergelegen farm, which was established by Willem Adriaan van der Stel in 1709.
The Estate has a proud history as a world class fruit farm and the winemaking tradition was revived when Dr Christo Wiese purchased Lourensford in 1998.
Early History
The earliest traces of human activity in the Hottentots Holland Valley are to be found at Grootnek and Uitzicht, two locations deep in the heart of Lourensford Estate. The Uitzicht stoneage midden has early and middle stoneage artifacts (150 000 – 200 000 years BC) that are leached out of the soil by winter rains.
The Lourensford vineyards are surrounded by spectacular mountains overlooking False Bay – sea breezes and fresh air cool down summer temperatures by up to five degrees Celsius. Rainfall figures can be hign and an eager South Easter breeze indicates a traditional European-type Terroir although it is situated on the Southern tip of Africa.
Lourensford wine estate was awarded the SA Terroir Wine Awards in 2024 and received the Top Wine Estate and Top Single Vineyard wine awards.

You are welcome to Order your wine online if you are a Restaurant, Coffee shop, Wine bar, Club, Bars , Hotels or any other business with a serving permit. Please submit Registration information on the form on this page first.

Delivery and Payment terms
Delivery is free of charge for orders exceeding 8 cases or 7,000 kroner or more. Otherwise, shipping is SEK 350 for each case of 6 bottles Sweden only.
Payment terms are strictly cash on delivery (COD) If no payment is received after 7 days after receiving your wine, late payment interest will be charged at 20%.
Complaints
If delivered goods are damaged or missing, this must be reported to the carrier immediately upon delivery. The damage must be reported to us immediately, but no later than within 7 days. This also applies if a wine is defective, or labels are damaged.
